Gossamer Butterfly Card
By Susan Pickering Rothamel

Gossamer Butterfly Card

A beautiful, feminine card perfect for Mother's Day or any other occasion.

Materials:

Sandi Miller Butterfly Stamp
Duo Embellishing Adhesive or rubber stamping ink
Gold UTEE Embossing Powder
Stargazer watercolor palette
Brush
Mica Tiles - any size - tear a few shards
Gossamer Paper to match
Mini-Scrabble or letters or like
Great Tape
Nice Cardstock for butterfly image
Cardstock to match the butterfly

Preparation:

  1. Stamp the image and emboss it using the Duo/Ink and embossing powder. With a bit of water and the new Stargazer palette, paint and blend the colors on the wings.
  2. When complete and dry, cut out the image carefully and gently bend the wings upward.
  3. Cut and adhere the layers of papers together. Adhere, using Great Tape, the shards of Mica. Next adhere the Gossamer paper and finally the painted butterfly. When complete, mount the letters.
  4. Write a beautiful saying on the inside.
